Good morning. The Denver Broncos started yesterday’s game against the Lions with just 10 men on the field, missing their ‘X’ wide receiver.
That’s the position Demaryius Thomas played. The Broncos took a delay of game penalty, which the Lions declined. A very cool tribute to a Broncos legend.

WATER COOLER TALK
🏈 Urban Meyer found himself in more hot water of his own making this weekend. He allegedly criticized all of his assistant coaches, whom he selected, as losers and challenged them to prove their resumes in front of the entire team.
He also angered veteran receiver Marvin Jones so much that Jones left the facility before practice even started.
If he's angling to get fired and return to college football, he's got to hurry up as most of the coaching positions are filling up.
🏈 Baltimore Ravens quarterback and former MVP Lamar Jackson was carted off the field with a serious-looking ankle injury.
Without Lamar the Ravens looked pedestrian on offense, losing to the Browns 22-24 and seeing their AFC North lead cut to one game.
🏈 Alabama quarterback Bryce Young waltzed home with the Heisman, winning the award by a huge spread over runner-up Aiden Hutchinson.
Bryce is the Tide's first quarterback to win the award and second player in a row after Devonta Smith last year.
The Bulls play Tuesday and need at least eight eligible players to play. Right now, they have four.
The NBA hasn’t canceled or postponed a game yet this season, but it may have to here.

The Flying Dutchman
If you found yourself on the internet yesterday morning, you probably saw people losing their minds over the final F1 race of the year.
Here's why: Down 10+ seconds with five laps remaining, Max Verstappen needed a miracle to beat Lewis Hamilton and win his first World Championship. His own team manager said so.
"Max is driving his heart out there but we're going to need a miracle in these last 10 laps to turn it around."
It happened. Another driver crashed, bringing out the safety car which let Verstappen close the gap to Hamilton with just one lap remaining. On fresh tires, Verstappen took the lead during an electric final lap.
Let's talk about thecontroversy. The racing rules bent a bit in Max's favor at the end.
The race could have ended under the safety car, giving Lewis Hamilton the win. Instead, the FIA decided to resume the race for just one lap.
Before the safety car came out, Lewis led the race by 10 seconds.
When the safety car left the track, Verstappen was right behind Lewis with no lapped cars between the two.
Mercedes, Lewis' team, filed two claims which were both dismissed by F1. Despite his team’s public protests, Hamilton and his dad congratulated Verstappen on the win.
The final standings:
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) - 395.5 points
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) - 387.5 points
Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) - 226 points
Looking ahead: Coming off its most-watched season ever, Formula 1 returns in just 97 days. Lewis Hamilton said he’ll be back to chase his record 8th title.
