Good morning! Central Florida legend Blake Bortles got the call from the Green Bay Packers yesterday while playing a round of golf at Ponte Vedra's Ocean Course. Allegedly even through seven holes and looking at a likely double bogey to ruin his round, he took the offer right away.

🏀 NCAA punishes Oklahoma State.
🏈 Breaking down a not-so-final four.

Trivia:Which College Football coach has the most all-time division 1 wins?

WATER COOLER TALK
🏈 Aaron Rodgers tested positive for Covid, meaning he’ll miss the Packers matchup against Pat Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jordan Love will get his first NFL start, which is great for him because the Chiefs defense is terrible (29th against the pass).
Another notable star, the NHL’s Sydney Crosby, also tested positive and will miss time.
🏈 Looks like LeBron James is now capable of trading players in other sports leagues, too. After LeBron tweeted “#FreeOBJ,” the NFL’s Cleveland Browns might do just that.
The Browns held Odell Beckham out of practice and told the rest of the team “he basically isn’t on the team right now.”
In classic Cleveland fashion, the trade deadline was two days ago.
🏀 Oklahoma State’s postseason appeal was denied by the NCAA, meaning they’re not eligible for the 2022 March Madness tournament.
The ruling stems from a former assistant who received tens of thousands of dollars to steer former players to certain agents and financial advisors.
Interestingly, the University of South Carolina received no ban despite being a part of the same case with the NCAA.
Five Conferences To Rule Them All
The College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Committee has spoken. The top-10:
Let’s dig into the surprises:The CFP threw us for a loop with rankings that look as much like the AP top-25 poll as I look like Ryan Reynolds.
#2 Alabama: Bama does not simply lose, they have “quality losses.” The #2 ranking surprised many, including ESPN host and Crimson Tide alum Rece Davis who was “a little shocked.” The Tide sit above three unbeaten power five programs despite the loss to then-unranked Texas A&M.
#8 Oklahoma: The Sooners find themselves behind four one-loss teams at #8, mainly because they have one convincing win and it was last week against Texas Tech. The good news? Caleb Williams looks amazing and they have two more games against top-15 opponents to prove they deserve a spot in the CFP.
Other Power Five teams: Four Power Five teams (Mississippi State, NC State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Pitt) find themselves in the top-25 despite not making this week’s AP poll. They replaced four non-power five teams.
No love for Cincy: Speaking of a lack of non-power five love, Cincinnati fans were not happy with their #6 ranking… and they have an argument.
Here's their resume:
An unblemished 8-0 record.
A win over top-10 Notre Dame on the road.
A win over power five Indiana on the road.
Only one win by less than 10 points (Navy).
From here out, Cincinnati plays one ranked team (#23 SMU), meaning they need teams in front of them to lose. Realistically, they need a few teams behind them to lose, too.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn gave Cinci some unlikely support:
“I’ve played UGA and Bama every year. I know exactly what it looks like. They’re right there. They’re a team that can win the whole thing.”
Big picture: Despite what has been a crazy year - 13 of the preseason AP top-25 teams are unranked - the four teams with the best odds of winning the title look quite familiar.
Ohio State (+500)
Bonus fun fact: Before this week, #9 Wake Forest was the only Power Five football program without a top-10 ranking.
