Turns out European soccer fans aren’t happy with the largely American ownership groups who tried to take their clubs into the Super League. They’ve protested and now, the ones with the cash to make it happen, are attempting to outright purchase majority ownership stakes in the clubs.
Sing for the moment: Daniel Ek, co-founder and CEO of Spotify as well as a lifelong Arsenal fan, is launching a takeover bid for the English club with three former Arsenal legends - Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, and Dennis Bergkamp.
Cutting edge
Crypto has a day: Trevor Lawrence signed with Blockfolio, a company that lets users buy and sell a range of cryptocurrencies. T-Law received his payment in crypto on Friday, meaning it’s likely up about ~10% already.
Meanwhile, Chiefs TE Sean Culkin is going all in on Bitcoin, becoming the first NFL player to convert his entire salary to the cryptocurrency.
